Born in Arlington, VA, Robert served in the United States Army. Following his service, he worked in the construction industry in the Washington metropolitan area for over 45 years. Upon his retirement, he moved to Virginia Beach, VA.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara, and son, Christopher. One of fifteen children, he was preceded in death by his brothers William and Lawrence Weakley. He is survived by his remaining siblings, Virginia Lentz, Patricia Arnold, Eugene Weakley, Douglas Weakley, Betty Altizer, Mary Weakley, Barbara Tennis, Dorothy Potter, Alan Weakley, Gary Weakley, Kenneth Weakley, and James Weakley.
The family will receive friends at Murphy’s Funeral Home, 4510 Wilson Blvd, Arlington, VA on Monday, May 25th from 2 to 4p.m. and 6 to 8p.m. The funeral service will be held at 11a.m. on Tuesday, May 26th in the funeral home chapel with interment to follow at Columbia Gardens in Arlington, VA. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to a charity of your choice.
