Roy Mitchell Newlin passed away on Sunday, September 2, 2018. He was proceeded in death by his wife Gloria, a daughter Kathi, his parents the late Jacob and Jessie Newlin, two brothers, and two sisters. He is survived by his daughter "Beth" Mary Newlin. He is also survived by his sisters Patsy Cross (Henry Smallwood), Barbara (Bill) Hurst, a brother Tommy (Donna) Newlin, and his sister in laws Lucy (Cecil) Hardee and Mary (David) Bunch. As well as many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
He worked as a VA state Inspector and auto mechanic for over 50 years. He liked all sports and had a heart of gold.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 5th from 6-8 pm at Murphy Funeral Home in Arlington, VA. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the Arlington Animal Welfare League. More information can be found at www.murphyfuneralhome.com.
