Ruth was born in Dearborn, Michigan and grew up in Cleveland, Ohio. She went to college at the University of Mississippi where she helped colonize the Delta Gamma sorority. Ruth was married for over 55 years to the late William G. McQuigg. Together they moved from Cleveland to Detroit and finally to East Aurora with General Motors. She had many hobbies including sewing, painting and bridge. Every summer Ruth and her family enjoyed reunions at Lake Canandaigua, New York.
Survivors include her daughter-Bonnie McQuigg Weston of McLean, VA, grandchildren-Elizabeth Weston of Nashville, TN, Laura Simmons of McLean, VA, Brianne, Ryan and Katelyn Elinoff of Hingham MA.
She is predeceased by daughter-Susanne McQuigg Elinoff and husband-William G. McQuigg.
