Tammy found immense joy as a teacher, mentor, and playmate to multitudes of children at the Funshine Daycare in Arlington, where she enjoyed a career of over 35 years. She enjoyed a lifetime hobby as a miniaturist, creating elaborate dollhouses and other small-scale replicas. She enjoyed traveling and had many fond memories of visiting her extended family. Tammy was predeceased by her father, Robert. She is survived by her mother, Carol; her son, Alex; as well as aunts, uncles, and cousins.
A funeral service will be held at Little Falls Presbyterian Church, 6025 Little Falls Road, Arlington, VA 22207, on Monday, April 20, at 11 a.m., with Rev. Chris Lugo presiding. In lieu of flowers, her family suggests memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association, P.O. Box 7023, Merrifield, VA 22116-7023, or online at diabetes.org.
