Tony Thuan Van Tran

Tony Thuan Van Tran was born on August 12, 1932 in Saigon, Vietnam. He worked in the Vietnamese Air Force prior to moving to America. He had a successful career in clinical engineering prior to retirement. He was a loving husband to Theresa Thu Pham Tran, a devoted father to Tina Tran Steinhardt and Jason Steinhardt, and a cherished grandpa to Bradley Tran Steinhardt.

He enjoyed gardening, cooking, watching soccer, and spending time with his loved ones. He loved to help his neighbors, friends, and family. He had a unique sense of humor and a joy for life.

He passed away comfortably in his daughter’s home in MD on December 30, 2021, surrounded and embraced by his family. His love, laughter, and light will be missed. A visitation will be held Saturday, January 8 at Murphy Funeral Home of Arlington starting at 9AM with prayer services at 10:30AM. Burial will follow at Columbia Gardens Cemetery.

Tony received great care from the teams at Johns Hopkins Hospital, Howard County General Hospital, Lorien Rehab Facility in Columbia MD, and Gilcrist Hospice Care. His favorite charity was the Vietnam Veterans of America.
