

Veronica Marie (Losh) Mato of Arlington, VA passed away peacefully on October 14th at Capital Caring in Arlington, VA at the age of 90. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 44 years, Frank M. Mato. Veronica was the daughter of Stella (Niedzwiecki) and John A. Losh of Plymouth, PA, sister of Loretta Schultz and John Losh, both of Jackson, MI, and Evelyn Losh (deceased) of Arlington. She is survived by several nieces and nephews. Veronica was a graduate of Plymouth High School, Plymouth, PA class of 1943. She served in the U.S. Marine Corps stationed at Parris Island, SC and Henderson Hall, Arlington, VA. Veronica retired from Chase Manhattan Bank, NY after a career of 37 years before moving to Arlington. While living in NY she served as a volunteer Gray Lady at the VA hospital, Bronx, NY. Veronica was a member of the Women Marines Association (life member), American Legion Post 139, Women in Military Service of America (charter member), NY Sokol 151, and JP Morgan Chase Vested Vultures. She was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, Arlington, VA, where a visitation will be held on Thursday, October 22, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. followed by a Mass of Christian burial at 3:00 p.m. with Father John Melmer officiating. Interment will be held at Arlington National Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Capital Caring or Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church.
