On Saturday, July 7, 2012 William I. Israel of Arlington, Virginia, beloved husband of Carol and devoted father of Mark Israel, Mary Daymont and Melinda (Jordan) Frame passed away in his home. He leaves behind grandchildren Melisa (T.J.) Shaughnessy, Mary Anne Daymont, Brett Israel, Zane Israel, Danielle Frame and Will Frame. As a teenager, Bill was hospitalized for a lengthy period in Baltimore, Maryland with paralytic polio. Polio didn't stand in the way of an active and productive life. Bill became a professor and later was elected to the State Board of Education in Colorado. After moving to Arlington, Virginia, Bill worked in private and government positions. A memorial service will be held at St. Albans Church, 6800 Columbia Pike, Annandale Virginia on July 28, 2012 at 11 a.m., followed by a reception in Frizzel Hall.
