Ellen Ina Grewe

Ellen Ina Grewe, 81, of Arlington, WA, loving mother and dear friend, passed away February 23, 2012 in Everett, WA. She was born to Werner and Elsie Hessen October 15, 1930 in Everett. Ellen graduated from Everett High School in 1949 and Pacific Lutheran College in 1953. She worked as an x-ray receptionist at Cascade Valley Hospital in Arlington. She was a long time member of Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church and TOP’s club. She married Dan C. Grewe February 21, 1959 and they had three children. Preceding Ellen in death was her son Paul C. Grewe and brother Bill Hessen. She is survived by Dan C. Grewe of Arlington; children, Ruth E. (Frank) Gonzales Jr. of Arlington, Roy D. (Gina) Grewe of Cumberland, WI; grandchildren, Frank Gonzales III and Sarah Gonzales, Brandon Grewe (fiancé-Kim Wilson), Brady Grewe, and Brock Grewe. Ellen was a wonderful loving mother and dear friend. If she ran into someone she didn't know, you were her dear friend by the end of the visit. Ellen always had a kind word and cheerful smile for all. A viewing will be held Friday, March 2, 2012, 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Weller Funeral Home, 327 N. MacLeod Ave., Arlington, WA. A graveside service will be held Saturday, March 3, 2012, 1:00 p.m. at Arlington Municipal Cemetery, 20310 67th Ave. NE, Arlington, with a funeral service following at 2:00 p.m. at Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church, 615 Highland Dr., Arlington. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church.
