Evelyn Bernice McKenzie

Evelyn was born to the late Allie and Sylvia Huson on January 25, 1941 in San Francisco, California. Evelyn moved to Arlington when she was 11 years old. It was here that she met the love of her life, Charles Keith McKenzie. They were married on February 9, 1957. Evelyn was blessed with a large family who loved her dearly.

She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Charles; her son, Charles Jr. (Beth); daughters, Cheryl (Paul), Roxanne, Connie (Bill) and Melissa (Eric); along with numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren; and her five siblings.

Evelyn was the sweetest woman this world could ask for, no matter what this life gave her she never complained. She loved unconditionally. Evelyn loved to be outside and spend time with her family. We will miss you terribly. We can no longer see you with our eyes, or touch you with our hand, but we will feel you in our hearts forever. You are our guardian angel.

A celebration of Evelyn’s life will be held at the Pioneer Hall on May 23, 2015 at 1:00 pm in Arlington.
