

Joseph “Joey” Allen Gepner, 23, passed away tragically in an accident October 23, 2010 in Stanwood, WA. He was born to Keith and Judi Gepner January 26, 1987 in Everett, WA. Joey graduated from Arlington High School in 2005 and went on to work in residential construction. He enjoyed 4 wheeling (mud runs), hunting and camping with family and friends. He volunteered at SeaFair the past 6 years. When Joey was younger he was an avid skateboarder. He worked at auto swap meets and was a member of the Boy Scouts. Joey was best known for his beautiful smile and heartfelt hugs. He was very much loved by all who met him. Joey will be greatly missed. Joey was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Dale Matthies, Gerald Gepner and his cousin Mikel Ross. Surviving him are his parents Keith and Judi Gepner of Arlington, WA, brother Matthew “Matt” Gepner of Arlington, special girlfriend Jennifer Funk; grandparents, Bill and Joanne Jantz of Marysville, WA, Betty Matthies of Marysville, Carol Gepner of Selah, WA; aunts, Denise Jantz, Debbie (Rex) Lamm, Janice (Harley) Owens; uncles, Dale Matthies, James Meline; many cousins, friends and his dogs, Rebel and Daisy. A viewing will be held Friday, October 29, 2010, 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Weller Funeral Home, 327 N. MacLeod Ave., Arlington, WA. A funeral service will be held Saturday, October 30, 2010, 3:00 p.m. at Arlington Free Methodist Church, 730 E. Highland Ave., Arlington, WA.
