Keith Douglas Graves lost his battle with cancer on June 22, 2015 at his home of 54 years in Arlington WA. Keith was born in Seattle WA April 10, 1938 and grew up in Ballard, only son of Ernest and Ethel Graves. Keith married Sally Lou (Wilson) Graves, also from Ballard, and they moved to property near Arlington in 1961. Keith worked as a journeyman pipe-fitter for nearly 40 years, with Seattle Local 32 and Everett Local 265. His love of country living included hunting and mules, which he took many trips into the high country with. In acquiring additional properties over the years, he became an avid “tree farmer”, becoming an active member of the Washington Farm Forestry Association (WFFA). In 2011 the Graves Family Tree Farm was awarded “Tree Farm of the Year” by the WFFA. Keith is survived by his wife off 55 years, Sally, sons Paul and Andy (Julia), and daughter Lynne Glaze. He also leaves eight grandchildren, Lindsay Rose, Laurel Strom, Leslee Graves, Lani, Kodi, Wilson, Amari, and Sawyer. A celebration of life will be held at the Arlington Free Methodist Church.
