Sandra Michele (Foy) Benson 53, passed away peacefully at home. Born in Seattle, to Thomas and Helen Foy. She grew up in Seattle the youngest of six kids. She attended Latona, Bagley, Hamilton, Lincoln and Shoreline CC. Her interests included family, old television shows and movies of all kinds. Sandy liked lighthouses and Precious Moments figures. She loved animals and watched dog shows, and anything relating to animals. She always had pets. She adopted a rescue dog, a Chihuahua mix, a year ago and "Angel" entered their lives and hearts. Sandy was taking Angel to school to become a therapy dog.
Gray was the true love of her life. They met in 1991 and married in 1994. They moved north and enjoyed country life together. Sandy spent 7 years working, but most of her married life she was a wife and mother, raising their two kids and taking them to all their activities. Sandy enjoyed the wildlife that wandered through their property, especially the deer. She lived her faith and enjoyed her church. She was sad when she didn't feel well enough to make it to church during her illness. She liked to sit right up front and sing the praise songs. She listened to christian music and played her favorite song on a CD over and over again.
Sandy is survived by her husband Gray, son Tom, daughter Michele, two grandchildren Ashlynn and Rinoa. Three sisters and two brothers. Judy, Barbara, Fred, Jan, and Bryan.
A celebration of Sandy’s life will be held August 8, 2015 at 10 AM at Christ the King Church, 21108 67th Ave, Arlington, WA.
