Benjamin W. Callahan

Benjamin W. Callahan, of Arnold, Mo., passed away on August 7, 2014 at the age of 75. Beloved husband of Joyce Callahan. Son of the late John and Lydia Callahan (nee Moses). Loving father of Joe Callahan and Edward (Bitsi) Callahan. Grandfather of Ben Smith, Charity (Travis) Briles, Garrett (Jill) Callahan, Hannah Smith, Champ (Alex) Callahan, Caleb (Elizabeth) Smith, Dillon (Amber) Callahan, Chuck (Hannah) Callahan, Brennan Callahan, Chase Callahan, Aaron Smith, Connor Callahan, Seth Smith, Chelsea Callahan and Miriam Smith and great grandfather of Renee Callahan. Dear brother of "Bro. Jim" (Johanna) Callahan and brother-in-law of Margaret Callahan and Cathy Callahan. He was preceded in death by Ray Callahan, John Callahan, Larry Callahan, Joe Callahan, Pat Callahan, Richard Callahan, Sally Hardin, Peggy Misko, Charlotte Burton, Martha Callahan, Mary Frame and Lydia Callahan.

Mr. Callahan was the owner of Callahan Flooring. He was a member of the US Navy Drill Team, Eagle Point Community Church; First Baptist Church Arnold; Arnold VFW #2593; Order of Arrow, Boy Scouts of America; Machinists Union; Boilermakers Union and Montauk State Park Lunker Board Member.

Visitation will be held on Monday, August 11, 2014, 4-8:00 p.m., at Heiligtag-Lang-Fendler Funeral Home, 1081 Jeffco Blvd., Arnold, Mo. Funeral service will be on Tuesday, August 12, 2014, 9:00 a.m., at the funeral home, officiated by Dr. Edward A. Callahan. Interment immediately following at National Cemetery, Jefferson Barracks, Mo. In lieu of flowers donations to Ben Callahan India Fund @ Eagle Point Community Church or KidsPoint Ministry @ Eagle Point Community Church appreciated.
