Charlotte A. Smith, Arnold, MO passed away on January 2, 2026, at the age of 84. She was born in St. Louis, MO on January 19, 1941 to the late Walter and Margaret Hussmann Sr.; beloved wife of Laurence C. Smith; loving mother of Lorraine Basden and Lynn Tamol; loving grandmother of Christopher Lessor, Mindy Mayer, Toni Mayer and Matthew Basden; great grandmother of Benjamin Lessor; dear sister of Edward Hussmann and the late Bernadette Hussmann, Robert Hussmann, Walter Hussman Jr. and Maryland Weigel; dear aunt and friend to many.
Charlotte was the former Financial Secretary for UAW Local #110 Retirees Union for 30 years.
A visitation will be held at Heiligtag-Lang-Fendler Funeral Home, located at 1081 Jeffco Blvd, Arnold, MO 63010, USA. The visitation is scheduled for January 15, 2026, from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday January 16, 2026, 10:00 AM at Mary Mother of the Church, 5901 Kerth Rd, St. Louis, MO 63128. The service will conclude at the church, there will not be a procession to the cemetery.
