David Carl Anderson, age 83, of Imperial, Missouri passed away on Thursday, July 21, 2022. David was born September 22, 1938 in Nameoki, IL to the late Carl and Eda (nee Johnson) Anderson; beloved husband of the late Kathleen E. Anderson; loving father of David C. Anderson II, George (Jennifer) Anderson and Linda (Greg) Hutson; loving grandfather of Joshua Anderson, Lacey Hutson, Ashlie Hutson, Griffen Anderson and Riley Anderson; great grandfather of Owen, Oliver, Joshua Jr., and Olivia Anderson; dear brother of the late Doris Burger and Rosalind Harton; dear uncle and friend to many.
David was a Sergeant Major (E9) in the Marine Corps. He earned a Masters Degree in Criminal Justice and served as a Commander of State. David was a member of the Military Order of the Cooties, Knights of Columbus, Marine Corp League, VFW life member, Veterans of Foreign Wars and the Past Commanders Club.
A visitation for David will be held Tuesday, July 26, 2022 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Heiligtag-Lang-Fendler Funeral Home, 1081 Jeffco Blvd, Arnold, MO 63010. A funeral service will be celebrated Wednesday, July 27, 2022, 9:00 am in the funeral home chapel. A committal service will occur Wednesday, July 27, 2022,10:30 AM at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, 2900 Sheridan, Jefferson Barracks, MO 63125. Memorial donations in David's Honor may be made to Folds of Honor, 16105 Swingley Ridge Rd. Suite # 726, Chesterfield, MO 63006.
