My sweet David and I was friends for 18 years. We stood by each other and always took care of each other. We would laugh, go to movies, watch movies at my house, I would Cook him dinner. He loved my lemon pepper chicken.
He stood by me when I was going thru cancer and kept my spirit strong. His dog Abby would come to my house and play with my Hope. Before Hope there was Jake and David loved him. I worked Fri- sun and David would stay at my house all weekend and take care of Jake and the cars. That's how we were. Always looking out for each other.
At one point about 4 or 5 years ago my David and I were engaged for a period. The timing was off but we remained best friends. Every weekend we would go to the show. The weekend before he died he had Sunday dinner at my house and we watched tv. I loved my David with my whole heart. He was and will always be by best friend. I know when I go to heaven he will be the first to greet me.

David was a sweet, precious and generous soul. I am grateful to have worked with him for the past two years. He had an amazing work ethic and held down two jobs for over a decade. He took me fishing last October and I will forever cherish that memory. He loved his dog Abby dearly and was always so thoughtful and kind to others. He shared his wonderful home grown tomatoes with me every year. He continually gave back to other veterans through personal donations such as fishing poles, vacuum cleaners, and Wal-Mart gift cards. My world was a brighter place having known you David. 
You will be so very missed.

David was a very caring individual that I loved visiting with. He had some great experience stories that made us both laugh. He was a very good worker at the computer labs and was always learning to advance himself and to help others.  I was his computer instructor and student advisor when he was attending Columbia College. Ever so often, I would see him in town and we would stop and visit, exchanging the latest funny stories about life.  I even told him that he looked like one of my uncles, when my uncle was David's age. I was very sadden to hear of his death and I will deeply miss him, his laugh, his smile and his kind spirit.  He had so much to share and we have lost that. May the Lord comfort you, (his family), and his friends during this time.

I dated David for almost 2 years and we were still friends up until his death.  He was the sweetest person.  He loved my kids and loved him. (except for when he wanted to take them fishing).. The kids didn't like that so much.  David will be greatly missed.  I will miss our conversations and the time we shared with each other.  I love you David.  Now you are fishing with the angels!

David was the type of person who could brighten your day when you were feeling bogged down or just plain tired. He was silly and always had a story to tell. Whether about his dog or some occurrence from the past week. He brought us candy often.. Even when he knew we were dieting! And made sure to ask how our day was. He was very intuitive in knowing when we had a rough one  and would give the obligatory "oh, well" and go on one of his tangents. 
The world is sadder place without him in it.

I worked with David for many years at The Mizzou Store.  He was a sweet, caring, generous man who always put the needs of others ahead of his own.  He especially enjoyed sharing his tomatoes and bringing treats for the students and staff.  We loved him and we miss him.
