Gerald M. “Jerry” Irwin, age 37, of Arnold, Missouri passed away on Thursday, March 17, 2022. Jerry was born November 1, 1984 in St. Louis, Missouri at St. Anthony’s hospital.
Jerry grew up in Arnold, going to Fox, playing sports and was a tri-athlete in High School. His parents, Michael and Lisa Irwin, played a huge role in his perseverance and love for sports.
Jerry married his next-door neighbor of 20 years and love of his life, Nicole Havel. They had two Children, Michael and Eleanor. Jerry loved his family and always had a great time whether it was playing princesses with his daughter Eleanor, or playing chess or Nintendo with his son Michael. He adored the time that he spent with his kids.
Jerry’s presence lit up the room. He was always ready for a good time with friends and family and always had a good story to share. He was a loyal friend and family member.
He was a movie connoisseur and enjoyed a variety of music. In opportune times he found himself writing his own songs and creating music with one of his best friends. He spent time golfing with friends and family, and never turned down a card game.
He is preceded in death by paternal grandparents Gerald J. Irwin and Elizabeth “Betty” Irwin; and his maternal grandparents, Wayne and Minnie Chasteen.
He is survived by his wife, Nicole (Havel) Irwin; children, Michael (age 8) and Eleanor (age 3); parents Michael and Lisa Irwin, and maternal grandparents Jack and Wanda Rohr.
A visitation for Jerry will be held Thursday, March 24, 2022 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Heiligtag-Lang-Fendler Funeral Home, 1081 Jeffco Blvd, Arnold, MO 63010. Funeral service will be celebrated Friday, March 25, 2022, 11:00 AM in the funeral home chapel. Interment Mt. Hope Cemetery, 1215 Lemay Ferry Rd., St. Louis, MO 63125.
