Norma Jean Ponder

Norma Jean Ponder (nee Grisham), 89, passed away peacefully on Monday, June 26, 2017 at her residence. Daughter of the late William and Ola (nee Parker) Grisham. Loving wife of the late Robert Lendon Ponder. Beloved mother of Matthew S. (Marina) Ponder, Gay Lee (Tim) Taylor, Patricia ( and the late William) Harrison and Lucinda Martin and the late Robert (Susan survives) Ponder III. Adoring grandmother of Erin (Jeff) Beatty, Lauren (Roger) Meyer, Mallory (James) Davis, JoAnna (David) Lorella, Natalie Taylor, Matthew (Danielle) R. Ponder, Nathan Ponder, Scott Olsen, Bradley Harrison, Vina Tram, David Martin and Jacque Martin; great grandmother of Scotty, Camden, Adam, Evan, Lucas, Jacob, Paige, Clayton, Zachary, Jackson, Brielle, Peyton and Theodore. Sister of Thomas (Beverly) Hedge, the late Doris (Patrick) Sullivan, Vera Downen and Ronald (Judy) Hedge. Norma will be missed by a very special friend, Joyce Murabito.

Norma was a Southwestern Bell Communication Representative and a member of Arnold Baptist Tabernacle Church.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, June 29, 2017 from 4:00-8:00 pm at Heiligtag-Lang-Fendler Funeral Home, 1081 Jeffco Blvd., Arnold, Mo. The funeral service will be conducted on Friday, June 30, 2017, 10:00 am at Heiligtag Chapel. Burial will immediately follow at National Cemetery, Jefferson Barracks, Mo.
