Paul Joseph Leist

Paul Joseph (Joe) Leist, age 81, of Arnold, MO passed away on Friday July 15, 2022. Paul was born June 18, 1941, St. Louis, MO to the late Joseph and Rubie Leist (nee Pate). Loving husband of 62 years to Cecilia Leist (nee Roberts); dearest father of Cindy (Ellerd) Niemeyer and David Leist (friend Debbie), beloved grandfather of Joshua Leist and Zachary Leist, Brandy (Pat) Sheehan, Chelsey (Kyle) Meyer and Cameron Niemeyer; cherished great grandfather of Patrick Sheehan and River Meyer; dear brother of Doris (Roger) Hartnett; our loving uncle, great uncle, cousin, friend. He was preceded in death by his brother Glenn Leist, Wilma Gruenke, Dorothy Amerein, and Charles Leist.

Joe retired as a lithographer after a 44 year career. He was an avid bowler and in his retirement he filled his time clipping coupons and grocery shopping.

Funeral service for Joe will be held on Wednesday, July 20, 2022 at 2:00pm. with visitation before the service at 1:00 pm at St. John's Lutheran Church, 3517 Jeffco Blvd. Arnold, MO 63010. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 19, 2022 from 4:00-8:00 pm also at the Church. Burial will follow at St. John's Lutheran Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. John's Lutheran Church and School or the Juvenile Diabetes Association.
