He was the beloved husband of Mary B. Moore (nee Baeumner) who has been his kind, caring and faithful wife for 61 years. Together they have two children: Anna Marie Roethler (husband, Jerry Roethler), and Jerry Moore (wife, Regina Moore) and six grandchildren: Crystal Moore, Katie Orchard (husband, Kyle Orchard), Jacob Moore (wife, Morgan Moore), Justin Wessel, Jared Wessel (who went home to be with Jesus in 2013), Nikki Roethler, and four great-grandchildren: Lily Moore, Ava Mae Orchard, Jace Orchard and Kali Roethler. He was preceded in death by his father, Richard Michael Moore and Ollie Angeline Moore. Walter was one of 10 children: Mary Ann Missick (husband, Phillip Missick), Ira Earl Moore (wife, Jane Moore), Jerry Estes Moore (wife, Marlene Moore), James Ermon Moore (wife, Dorothy Moore), Everett Carl Moore, Donna Jean Graham (husband, Greg Graham), Doris Jewel Moore, Elberta Moore and Rhoda Lee Moore.
Walter attended Morton Grade School in Williamsburg, Kentucky and later attended high school in Cincinnati, Ohio, followed by college at the University of Ohio. He was an architectural designer whose greatest joy in life was sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ and spending time with his wife, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. His faith took him to over 80 nations sharing his testimony of faith in Christ Jesus.
Walter was a member of the Arnold Rotary Club, Member of Life Church and the International Fellowship of Christian Businessmen.
VISITATION AND SERVICE: Visitation will be Thursday, December 10th from 4-8 p.m. Funeral Service will be held Friday, December 11th at 11:00 a.m. at Heiligtag-Lang Fendler Funeral Home, 1081 Jeffco Blvd., Arnold, MO 63010. Interment at Mount Hope Cemetery, 1215 Lemay Ferry Rd, St. Louis, MO 63125.
