Warren W. Warnecke

Warren W. Warnecke, age 95, was fortified with the Sacraments of Holy Mother Church on April 10, 2017, at the Missouri Veterans Home in St. Louis. Warren was born in St. Louis, Mo. on May 14, 1921, the son of the late August H. and Gertrude E. Warnecke (nee Kemper). He was preceded in death by his wife Jean Warnecke and first wife Dorothy Warnecke.

Warren is survived by children Marcia (Ken) Kurz, Donald (Terry) Warnecke and Glenn Warnecke. He was preceded in death by sisters and brothers-in-law; Doris and Ed Chesler, Dorothy and Bill McAndrew and a brother and sister-in-law Ralph and Jean Warnecke.

Warren was a World War II U.S. Army Veteran , a member of Mayville, Mo. VFW Post #2593 and Affton Elks Lodge #2635 where he was a charter member. He was honored as"Elk of the Year" in 1983. He was also a member of the Avion Travel Club.

A funeral service will be held at 9:30 am, Friday, April 14, 2017, at Heiligtag-Lang-Fendler Funeral Home, 1081 Jeffco Blvd, Arnold, Mo. 63010. Interment will follow at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery. Visitation is at the funeral home from 4-8 pm on Thursday, April 13. An Elks service will be held at 7 pm.
