William Charles Altnether

ALTNETHER, William C. “Bill”, 65, of Arnold, MO passed away on February 5, 2016. Beloved son of Elizabeth “Betty” Zanzie (nee Baker) and the late Aloys “Jack” Altnether. Stepson of the late Arthur Zanzie. Loving father of Lisa (Paul) Meyer, Kelli (Czarrok) Fitzpatrick and Nathan Altnether. Dear grandfather of Klaus Meyer, Chloe Fitzpatrick and Madelyn Fitzpatrick. Brother to Diane Bangert and uncle to Deanna Bangert, Jacob Bangert and Michelle Bangert. Nephew of Patricia (Bob) Hunt, the late Veronica Ruegge and the late Delores Jackson. Dear uncle, cousin and friend to many.

Bill grew up in Arnold and attended Fox High School. After school, he was employed for many years by McDonnell Douglas and Boeing as an Aerospace Engineer. After retiring, he took pleasure in working with the disabled and continued to indulge in his passion for building and working on home remodeling projects. During this time, he also worked for The Home Depot and Lowe’s, where he enjoyed meeting with people and providing ideas for home projects.

SERVICES: A gathering of friends and family will be offered on Thursday, February 11, 2016 from 4 to 6 p.m. at Heiligtag-Lang-Fendler Funeral Home at 1081 Jeffco Blvd., Arnold, MO. Memorial service immediately following at 6:00 p.m. at the same location. In memory of Bill, contributions to the Missouri Kidney Program are appreciated.
