Barbara Ann McDanel

Barbara Ann McDanel, 75, of Wooster, Ohio passed away on Tuesday, July 5, 2022 at West View Healthy Living Nursing Home. She was born in Ashland, Ohio on October 2, 1946 to Harold and Nellie (Baker) Newcomer.

Barbara enjoyed knitting, crocheting and making beaded bracelets. She married the love of her life, Edward McDanel, on Septemeber 21, 1969.

She is survived by her children, Scott McDanel and Ryan McDanel; siblings, David Newcomer, Dennis (Cindy) Newcomer, Jim Newcomer, Dan Newcomer and Wendy (Ron) Trapp; and granddaughter, Nichole McDanel.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 46 years, Edward McDanel; daughter-in-law, Becky McDanel; and future daughter-in-law, Ceara Cooper.

The family will receive friends from 4:00-7:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 7, 2022 at the Ashland Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 308 Claremont Ave., Ashland, Ohio 44805. A private graveside service will be held for the family.
