Barbara Herndon "Dee Dee" Gable, of Mechanicsville, passed away July 4, 2014. She is survived by her husband Clyde J. Gable; children, Susan Freeman (Howard), Teresa Walsh (Ted) Jimmy Johns (Kim), Jennifer McKinley (Jack) and Beatrice Kruger; seven grandchildren, Matthew, Amanda, Brandon, Matthew, Farren, Heather, Jimmy; and 14 step-grandchildren; siblings, Cindy Herndon, Philip Herndon, and Bobby Herndon. The Family will receive friends Monday, July 7th, 2014 from 6 - 8 pm at Nelsen Funeral Home Reid Chapel at 412 S. Washington Hwy., Ashland, VA where services will be held Tuesday, July 8th at 2:00 pm. Interment will follow at Signal HIll Memorial Park, Hanover, VA.
