Bessie "Betty" VanDoren Wood

WOOD, Bessie (Betty) VanDoren, 92, of Ashland, went to be with her Lord on April 20, 2019. Betty was the daughter of the late Francis and Bessie VanDoren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel Gordon Wood. She is survived by her children, Walter B. Wood (Mary Lynne), Sam Wood (Kathy), and Daphne Wood-Lasser (Tom); grandchildren, Stephen E. Sepe, Sara Lynn Wood, Samuel G. Wood, and James Walker Wood; and many other family members. The family will receive friends at 10:00am on Monday, April 29, 2019 at Duncan Memorial United Methodist Church, 201 Henry St., Ashland. A funeral service will follow at 11:00am.
