Charles Beasley, 94, of Ashland, passed away on Sunday, March 19, 2017. He was in the U. S. Army during WW II and retired from R. F. & P. Railroad after 44 years of service. He was a member of Taylorsville Baptist Church and a member and inspiration of the YMCA in Ashland. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Beasley and daughter, Pam Beasley. He is survived by three sons, Ronnie, Warren and Richard Beasley; four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends at Nelsen Funeral Home, Reid Chapel, 412 S. Washington Hwy., Ashland, VA 23005 on Wednesday, March 22,2017 from 6 to 8 p.m. A funeral service will be held at 2pm on Thursday, March 23, 2017 at Taylorsville Baptist Church, Doswell, VA.
