Charles Paul Hileman (Charlie), 37, of Ashland, unexpectedly passed away on Monday, May 1, 2017. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Dorothy Finn; paternal grandfather, Charles R. Hileman; and niece, Zoé Stanley. He enjoyed fishing, four-wheeling, and he also loved to cook. He loved being with his friends and family. He was a free spirit and a dare devil. Charlie is survived by his mother, Joyce A. Henderson; stepfather, Carl H. Henderson; father, Paul G. Hileman; stepmother, Karin L. Hileman; children, Charles P. Hileman II, Tyler J. Hileman, and Alexis G. Hileman; mother of his children, Lashanda C. Hileman; brothers, Brian J. Hileman, Kevin M. Flanagan, and Allen R. Henderson; sisters, Angela M. Maccia and Michelle K. Flanagan; paternal grandmother, Ruth E. Hileman; and numerous aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends. A visitation will be held on Friday, May 5, 2017 from 4-8 pm at Nelsen Funeral Home, the Reid Chapel, 412. S. Washington Highway, Ashland, VA, 23005, where a funeral service will take place on Saturday, May 6, 2017 at 1 pm. Interment will follow at Woodland Cemetery, 11310 Hanover Ave., Ashland, VA 23005.
