MILLS, Doris Ann Gibson, 69, of Beaverdam, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on April 18, 2014, after a 12 year battle with cancer. She was a long-time member of the Beaverdam Ladies Auxiliary, and very active in her church, holding two positions for over 15 years. She never met a stranger and always had plenty of hugs to share. She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Wilbur Mills; her daughter, Donna Michael (Chris); her son, Roger Mills; three grandchildren, Ashley Mills, Brianna Michael and Austin Mills; and her sister, Mildred Jackson (Butch). The family will receive visitors on Monday, April 21, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at Zion Christian Church, in Beaverdam. The funeral will be held on Tuesday, April 22, at 2 p.m. at Zion Christian Church, with graveside services following at Trinity Church. In lieu of flowers, gifts of love may be given to Zion Christian Church, P.O. Box 55, 16158 Beaverdam School Rd., Beaverdam, Va. 23015, in her memory.
