Doris Allen Talley

She was preceded in death by her brothers Bernard F. Allen Jr., Chandler Allen, Harold L. Allen, and Kenneth Allen; and sons, Leonard F. Gouldin, and Thomas M. Gouldin III.

Doris dedicated her career to serving her community as a store clerk, bringing warmth and kindness to everyone she met. She was a beloved member of Slash Christian Church in Ashland, where she found joy and fellowship.

She is survived by her loving children, Cindy Toombs, Frankie Gouldin, Doris Minor, and Cathy Tillman; grandchildren, Ryan Coffey, Crystal Silvester, and Brandy Gouldin; as well as her great-grandchildren, Lennon Silvester, Kaydyn Gouldin, Liam Coffey, and Kaylee Coffey.

Doris had a deep passion for gardening, flowers, and watching the birds. Above all, she treasured the time spent with her family, loving her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren with all her heart.

Her presence will be deeply missed, but her memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.

The family will receive friends from 5pm to 7pm on Thursday, August 8, 2024 at Nelsen Funeral Home, 412 S. Washington Hwy., Ashland, VA 23005. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in honor of Doris to August Health Care, 1503 Michael Rd, Richmond, VA 23229
