Elsie was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas Nelson Stanley and Lucy H. Stanley and her sisters, Helen Davis, Lucy Harris, Florence Payne, Myrtle Askew, and Betty Stanley.
She is survived by her siblings Benjamin Stanley, Douglas Stanley, and Viola Stanley; as well as many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 6pm to 8pm on Thursday, August 22, 2024 at Nelsen Funeral Home, 412 S Washington Hwy., Ashland, VA 23005. A graveside service will begin at 12pm at Woodland Cemetery 11310 Hanover Ave., Ashland, VA 23005 on Friday, August 23, 2024.
