JENNINGS, George “Bill, Jr., 88, of Ashland, went to be with his Savior on June 16, 216. He was son of the late George and Catherine Jennings. He was preceded in death by his sister, Nina Bruce and his brother, Eddie Jennings. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Norma Jennings; daughter, Debora Sadler and husband Ron; and many nieces, nephews, family members and friends. Bill was a member of Slash Christian Church and Clay Springs Ruitan Club. He proudly served in the US Navy during World War 2. Bill and his brother, Eddie were former co-owners of Dixie Trailer. The family will receive friends from 2-4pm and 6-8pm on Monday, June 20, 2016 at the Nelsen Funeral Home, Reid Chapel, 412 S. Washington Hwy., Ashland, VA 23005, where services will be held at 1pm on Tuesday, June 21, 2016. In lieu of flowers, please make memorial contributions to the Alzheimer’s Association or Slash Christian Church.
