Henry Elmer Callahan, Jr., 68, of King William, passed away on Thursday, February 6, 2020.
He was the son of the late Henry Elmer Callahan Sr., and is survived by his mother, Shirley Ann Callahan; brothers, Sandy Callahan, Jason Callahan; nephew, Chris Callahan; sisters, JoAnn Gallagher, Hilda Barker, Denise Engal, and Stacey Hutchinson.
Henry is also survived by his sons, Henry Elmer Callahan III, Billy Jack Callahan; his daughters, Barbara Lovin, Mary Callahan, and Samantha Callahan; 11 grandchildren, 15 nieces and nephews and 10 great nieces and nephews.
Henry worked at Martin Marietta for 40 years. He enjoyed and loved music, fishing, and hunting. He had a stroke a year and a half ago, and while doing rehab, he discovered he had cancer. Henry was loved by all of his family, friends, and children. Henry will be sorely missed!
His family will receive friends on Wednesday, February 12, 2020 from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30a.m. followed by a funeral service at 11:30a.m. at the Nelsen Funeral Home - Reid Chapel, 412 South Washington Highway, Ashland, Virginia 23005. Henry will be laid to rest in Greenwood Memorial Gardens, 12609 Patterson Avenue, Richmond, Virginia 23238 following the funeral.
