Jean Elizabeth Dunn

Jean Elizabeth Dunn, 87, of Glen Allen, Virginia passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 8, 2024. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Gordon H. Dunn, and her parents Heber and Margaret Hamilton. Jean dedicated her life to education and helping others. She had a fulfilling career as a school teacher in the public school system and later as a librarian.

Her passion for learning and sharing knowledge with others was truly inspiring. In her free time, Jean loved tending to her flower gardens and volunteering with the Hanover Humane Society. She had a deep compassion for animals, rescuing and caring for many cats and dogs over the years. Her home was always filled with the loving companionship of her feline friends. Jean will be deeply missed by her caring friends and all those whose lives she touched through her kindness, generosity, and unwavering spirit. Her legacy of service to her community will not be forgotten.

A graveside service honoring Jean's life will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, July 8, 2024 at Woodland Cemetery in Ashland, Virginia.
