Martin Vanburen Glass, 99, Of Ashland, VA, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, March 6, 2024. He is survived by his loving and cherished wife of 63 years, Marie Glass; devoted father of Irene Sipe (Larry), Rebecca Mills, Alene Davis and Shirley Friedhoff (David); and 12 grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents Horace and Irene Glass and son Harry Glass. Martin served in the US Army during WWII, was a truck driver for the Associated Transport Company and a member of the Hanover Baptist Church.
Relatives and friends are invited to Martin’s visitation at Nelsen Funeral Home-Ashland, 412 S. Washington Hwy., Ashland, VA on Wednesday, March 13, from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM and where a Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, March 14 at 10 AM. Interment will be held at Sunset Memorial Park, Chester, VA at 2 PM. Online condolences and fond memories of Martin may be offered to the family on the Nelsen Funeral Home-Ashland website.
