

Memphis David Adams, age 1, of Montpelier, Virginia, passed away on Monday, February 2nd, 2026. Though his time on this earth was brief, the love he gave and received was immeasurable, and his life touched the hearts of all who knew him.
Memphis was preceded in death by his cherished uncle, David Lee Goode Jr., and his paternal grandmother, Kay George.
He is survived by his loving and devoted parents, Joe Adams and Jessica Goode, who cherished him beyond measure. He leaves behind his beloved siblings, Vivianne, Emma, and his identical twin brother, Denver Clayton Adams, with whom he shared an unbreakable bond. Memphis is also lovingly remembered by his grandparents, Barbara and Radar Adams, Amy and Louis Brooking, and David Lee Goode Sr., as well as his dear great-grandmother, Sue B. Goode.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the compassionate nurses and doctors at VCU, UVA, Henrico Doctors’ Hospital, Johns Hopkins, and the Transitional Care Unit at Brook Road. Their care, kindness, and dedication meant more than words can express.
Memphis was deeply loved and was a true fighter. In his short life, he showed incredible strength and brought profound meaning and love to those around him. While his absence leaves an ache that cannot be filled, the family finds comfort in knowing that Memphis is now at peace, resting safely in Jesus’ arms.
He will be missed more than words can say and loved forever.
