Ralph Lewis Poindexter

He was preceded in death by his wife Marian W. Poindexter, parents James (Jimmy) Poindexter and Ellen Elizabeth (Queen) Poindexter. Brothers, Roy F. Poindexter and Everett (Wills) Poindexter and sister Betty P. Hopkins. He is survived by his sons Ronnie Poindexter (Pat) and Mike Poindexter (Judy); Grandkids, Ellen Carroll (Ryan) and Daniel Poindexter; Great-grandsons, Lucas and Tucker Carroll; Brothers, Stuart Poindexter (Nancy), Genie Poindexter (Clara). Sisters, Irma Adams (Alvin) and Linda Seay (Duck); Sisters-in-law, Ann Poindexter and Ann Williamson; Brothers-in-law, David Hopkins and Newbill Williamson; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Ralph retired as the president of Ralph's Plumbing & Heating after over 50 years in the plumbing and heating industry. He developed many friendships and business acquaintances over the years. He was also a member of Winns Baptist Church. He was loved by all who knew him and he was committed to helping others with whatever their needs may be. He was quite the storyteller and would spend as much time as one would allow telling numerous stories. He will be sorely missed by many folks.

A visitation for Ralph will be held Sunday, November 21, 2021 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at 5087 - Nelsen Ashland, 412 S. Washington Hwy., Ashland, VA 23005. funeral service will occur Monday, November 22, 2021 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM, 412 S. Washington Hwy., Ashland, VA 23005. A graveside service will occur Monday, November 22, 2021 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Winns Baptist Church Cemetery, 12320 Winns Church Rd, Glen Allen, VA 23059.
