WILLIS, Robert Richard, 77, passed away peacefully on December 1, 2015. He was preceded in death by his parents, David Sylvester and Virginia Goode Willis; and son, Robert Richard Willis, Jr. A retired brick contractor, Robert was also a street rod enthusiast, former member of Independence Ruritan Club, past president of the Masonry Contractors Association of Richmond, and a former member of the James River Driving Association. But what he enjoyed most of all was spending time with his family. He is survived by his loving wife, Barbara Nuckols Willis; son, David Timothy Willis (Lori); daughter, Robin Paige Willis; grandchildren, Robert David Willis, Jason Andrew Willis, Kevin Lee Willis and Ellen Underwood Willis; great grandchildren, Paisley Sue Willis and Finn Andrew Willis; as well as a host of friends and family who will all miss him dearly. The family will receive friends on Thursday, December 3, from 2-4 and 6-8pm at Nelsen Funeral Home – Reid Chapel, 412 S. Washington Hwy.
