Rosalia Bua Amato, 91, born in Carini, Italy on June 10, 1930 to Salvatore Bua and Marianna Passalacqua. She was preceded in death by her husband, Filippo Amato; and siblings, Giuseppe Bua, Salvatore Bua, and Rosa Bua. Rosalia is survived by her children, Girolamo Amato and wife, Vincenza and Rosalia Gallina and husband, Salvatore; grandchildren, Rosie Newman, Jennifer Lopresti, Filippo Amato, Christina Hatoum, Vito Amato, and Felicia Gallina; great-grandchildren, Ariana and Alessio Lopresti, Marco, Gemma, Mia, and Inez Hatoum, Alina and Yousef Amato , and Salvatore Buchanan. She will be remembered as a loving mother and grandmother, raising all 6 grandchildren.
She enjoyed playing Bingo and crocheting and watching her grandchildren grow up. She will be greatly missed by those who knew her.
A funeral mass will be held at 9:30am on Saturday, June 26, 2021 at St. Ann's Catholic Church, 105 S Snead St., Ashland, VA 23005 with interment to follow at Signal Hill Memorial Park, 12360 Hanover Courthouse Rd., Hanover, VA 23069.
