Ruby Ethel Kitchen Moss

She was preceded in death by her husband, Alex S. Moss Sr.; her siblings, Marion Diehls, Alice Moore, Lewis Kitchen, Mary Hackett, Martha Davis, and Ivy Kitchen; and great-grandson, Josiah Simpson.

Ruby cared for many people over the years as a Nurse at Retreat for the Sick. She was a long time member of Zion Christian Church in Beaverdam. She enjoyed traveling, going out to eat, shopping and most of all taking care of people.

Left to cherish her memory is her children, Ora Moss Richmond, Sandra Moss Simpson, and Alex "Sam" Moss Jr.; grandchildren, Dawn Taylor, James L. Richmond, Tammy Newman, Kimberly Richmond, Jonathan Simpson, Tracy Lutton, Rebecca Simmons, Jason Simpson, and Danny Richmond; and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 10am to 11am on Tuesday, May 31, 2022 at Zion Christian Church, 16158 Beaverdam School Rd, Beaverdam, VA 23015 where a funeral service will follow. A private interment will take place at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Richmond, VA.

Her children will remember her as the best mom ever. She will be missed greatly by family and friends. She was a wonderful caregiver to her mother, father, husband, and sister.
