Ruth Anne Wilkins

WILKINS, Ruth Anne, beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, formerly of Doswell, passed away on Monday, March 27, 2017. Born in 1930, she was forever 39 and holding. Anne was preceded in death by her husband Thomas Jeter WIlkins, Jr. and her brother Joseph Earl Bowles, Jr. Left to cherish her memory are her children Ann C. Bruce (A.C.), Jane Stanley (Charley), and Tommy Wilkins; grandchildren Tres Bruce (Emily), Reisa Smith (Bryan), Ash Bruce (Jen), Erin Blunt (Michael), and Patrick Stanley (Sammi); as well as 9 great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, April 5, 2017, 12 noon at The Fork Church, 12566 Old Ridge Road, Doswell, Virginia 23047, where a celebration of Anne's life will begin at 1:00 pm.Memorial contributions may be made to St. Andrew's Church, 227 S. Cherry Street, Richmond, VA 23220 or the American Cancer Society, 3961 Deep Rock Road, Richmond, VA 23233. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the caring staff at Autumn Care Mechanicsville and Ascera Care Hospice, especially Tammy Bailey and Mia Hurt. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 5, 2017, where a visitation will be held 1 hour prior at The Fork Church, 12566 Old Ridge Road, Doswell, VA 23047.
