

She was preceded in death by her mother, Greta Rune, and her twin brother, Rudy Rune, both of Copenhagen. Mrs. Page had fleeting memories of German soldiers occupying Denmark during WWII. She worked as an au pair in England while attending school there. She later served as a translator in the American Embassy in Iceland. She moved to Portland, Oregon, where she became a fashion model and owned an upscale boutique. She met and married Dr. Page there. The couple moved to Juneau, Alaska, where Mrs. Page assisted Dr. Page in taking his medical services to small towns and Native villages on their motor vessel, MV Damnyankee . Mrs. Page was an author of a popular cookbook containing recipes from her native Denmark and from seafood taken on their summer medical tours. Mrs. Page was an avid fisher. Dr. and Mrs. Page retired to their home, “Oakland” in Hanover County, after more than fifty years in Alaska.
Mrs. Page is survived by her husband, her daughter, Pia Page Davis; grandchildren, Jessica Alsheimer, Brandon Davis, Melissa Davis, and Carrson Davis: two great-grandchildren; and several step-children, step-grandchildren, and step-great-grandchildren.
