

Born on September 22, 1930, A D ‘Buck’ Harden passed away on June 22, 2013, in Rockglen, SK. He grew up in the Macworth and Fir Mountain district. In 1956, he met Bernice Anderson and was soon married. With their five children, they followed the oil patch as Buck was a heavy duty mechanic. In the spring of 1970, Buck and Bernice decided to settle down on the farm in the Rockglen area. They worked side-by-side in the farming and cattle operation. They returned to the oil patch in the Kindersley area, so Buck could continue working on machinery, but eventually returned to the love of the hills in the Rockglen area. Buck is survived by four children: Marty (Linda), Donna Goddard, Farren, and Connie (Don) Twin; brothers, Wallace and John and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Buck was predeceased by his wife Bernice (nee Anderson), son Wyatt, grandson Jarred, sons-in-law Daryl Pitman and Dale Goddard. Funeral Service, according to the United Church of Canada, was held on Thursday, June 27, 2013 at St. George’s Catholic Church, Assiniboia, SK. Lori Klein officiated. Music included the ‘Rockglen Pickers’ and CD selections by Jody Harden and Lonnie Harden. Urn Bearer was Ralph Karst.
