Anna Klein

Anna Klein (nee Kesslering), of Assiniboia, SK passed away October 26, 2017 at age 92. Anna was predeceased by her husband, Lloyd, son Larry, sister Magdalinea Schneider, and brothers Peter, Tony and Frank Kesslering. She is survived by son Dale (Gwenda), daughter Sally Klein (Raymond Karst), daughter-in-law Fay Klein, brother Max (Marg) Kesslering, sister-in-law Mary Kesslering, five grandchildren: Kelly (Lynnea) Klein, Trina Klein, Karen Shenher, Nancy Shenher, and Scott Shenher, two great-grandchildren Zach and Cassidy as well as numerous relatives and friends.

Anna Elizabeth Kesslering was born August 11, 1925 on the family farm at Horizon, Saskatchewan. After attaining her grade 8, she helped her parents on the farm. On October 24, 1946, Anna married Lloyd Klein in Horizon. Following their marriage, they made their home on the farm north of Viceroy. In 1989, they moved to their home in Assiniboia. Anna was a member of the CWL at St. Cunegunda Roman Catholic Church in Horizon for over 25 years. She enjoyed square dancing. She also enjoyed watching sports, especially curling. Anna’s life centered on her family, farm and gardening.

Funeral Service was held Wednesday, November 1, 2017 at 2:00 pm at Ross Funeral Chapel, Assiniboia, SK with Father Dennis Remot officiating. Donations in memory of Anna may be made to the Huntington Society.
