She grew up on the family farm south of Fir Mountain, where she learned to cook, bake and knit while also being responsible for numerous other tasks. Dorothy was very artistic and worked at a city photo studio while waiting for Wesley to return from the war. Dorothy married Wesley in 1946. They lived in Tisdale where Marlene and Lyle were born. In 1952 they relocated to Prince George, BC, where Beverley, Verna and Glen were born. In the spring of 1963 the family moved to their farm south of Lafleche. In 1996 Dorothy took up residence in Moose Jaw. Since 2006, Dorothy has resided independently in Crescent Park Retirement Villa where she felt very comfortable amongst a group of new friends. Dorothy wasn’t afraid of hard work, loved to garden and bake but more than anything she loved and treasured her family and friends. Dorothy will be remembered for her appreciation of nature, music, and the simple things in life. She will always remain in our hearts as a very kind, loving wife, mom, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend.
