
Elaine Chase (Rust) of Rockglen, SK, passed away February 9, 2015 at age 76. Predeceased by her mother Madeline Rust, son Kelly, and sister Delores, Elaine is survived by her husband, Gilbert; 3 sons: Grant (Irene), Alan, and Craig (Teresa); 8 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, her father Bill Rust, 3 brothers Francis (Karen), Merle (Wanda) and Darryl (Pearl), as well as numerous other relatives. Elaine was born February 3, 1939 on the family farm, the second child of Bill and Madeline Rust and the little sister to big sister Dolores. The family moved to Limerick in 1945. Elaine graduated from Limerick school in June 1958. Her first job was as a telephone operator at the Limerick telephone office, then she went to Moose Jaw to work in a bank. Realizing this wasn’t for her, she moved to Regina to work again as a telephone operator, and transferred to Assiniboia to be closer to the love of her life, Gilbert. Elaine and Gilbert were married December 12, 1959. Elaine will be remembered always having a smile on her face and a friendly word. Elaine loved dancing. Elaine enjoyed crocheting, doing puzzles (during winter) and gardening, where she spent many happy hours! The Funeral Service was held Saturday, February 14, 2015 at 11:00 AM in the Limerick Community Hall, Limerick, SK. with Reverend Marilyn Leuty officiating. A Tribute was given by Jean Moldovan. Pallbearers were Christopher Chase, Riley Chase, Mason Chase, Evan Rust, Raymond Kuipers and Mitch Fisher. Interment followed in Hillcrest Cemetery, Limerick.
