Mary Frances Stuart

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Mary Ann Stuart (nee Schmidt). Mary Ann passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 29th, 2012 in the Coteau Range Manor in Avonlea, Sask. Mary Ann, daughter of Andreas and Mary Schmidt was born on August 20th, 1917 on the family farm northeast of Viceroy, Sask. She was the second youngest of eight children. Mary Ann was raised in the Viceroy area and attended Surprise Valley School. On June 14th, 1955, she married Glen Wesley Stuart and resided in Edmonton, Alberta. She loved working at Woodwords, employed from 1949 to 1978. Mary Ann enjoyed her family when they came for visits and was very proud of her flower garden. Mary Ann is predeceased by her parents Andrea and Mary Schmidt, her husband Glen in 1996; five brothers: Nickolas, Anton, Frank, Michael and Johnny; and two sisters infant Katie and Kathleen Harper. She is survived by her brother-in-law Richard Glen Harper and numerous nieces and nephews. Special thanks to the staff of Coteau Range Manor in Avonlea, Sask.
