

Norman Morrow of Ogema, SK, former longtime resident of Ogema, SK, passed away on February 23rd, 2025 at Foyer d’Youville in Gravelbourg, SK. at age 87. Norman was born February 6, 1938 on the family farm in the Amulet District, north of Ogema, SK. He received his education at Medora School (district #230). The young 19 year old worked heavy equipment in Alberta. He then moved to Regina driving truck for Redi-Mix. He obtained Saskatchewan Trucking Safety Council – Safe Driver Awards for operating a commercial truck safely 1969-1971-1975-1976.
While working in Regina he met Wilma and they were married in 1970.
They made Regina their home until 1977 when they moved to Minton where they operated the hotel. In 1982 they sold the hotel and moved to Ogema. Norman and Wilma enjoyed many years travelling extensively throughout Canada and the United States with their camper. Following Wilma’s passing, Norman continued camping, frequented his friends at Plentywood.
He helped long time friend, Keith Waran, on the farm and worked for the Town of Ogema. In the 90’s he regained employment with Redi-Mix Larsen’s Construction/Swayze Concrete until 2006, when his health started to fail. He enjoyed fellowship with local friends. He tried residing at Prairie Villa in Assiniboia Sept 2015 – May 2016, but was not what he wanted and moved back to his home in Ogema. In Nov 2017 he moved to Gravelbourg Villa where he had his own apartment with assisted care until 2019 when he moved to the Foyer d’Youville until his passing at age 87.
Predeceased by wife Wilma (Geddes) (2002), parents Agnes and Orville Morrow, brother Barry Morrow, sisters Sharon Johnson and Catherine “Kay” Morrow, brothers-in-law Mervin Johnson, John Schiller and nephew Kevin Schiller.
Norman is survived by sister Lois Schiller of Weyburn; nephews Jerry Schiller, Roger Schiller, Kevin Johnson, Robert Johnson, Shelly Schiller (Kevin dec’d) and great-nieces and nephews Chelsey and Eric Schiller, Holden Nowell, Justin Schiller, Braydon Johnson, Ashley (Johnson) Cassel.

Inurnment service at the columbarium, Ogema Cemetery, Ogema, SK will be held Saturday, April 26, 2025 at 1:00 pm
