Arliene Virginia Dunn

Arliene Virginia Dunn, age 84, passed away peacefully on Sunday the 16th of August at Twin Cities Hospital after a brief struggle with pneumonia. Arliene was born June 14, 1931, in Boston, Massachusetts, the daughter of Lillian and William Morrill. In 1951, Arliene married the love of her life, Clifton Dunn, and together moved to California where she continued to raise her two sons, Clifton and Mitchell Dunn and welcomed her final son, Edward Dunn. They moved to Atascadero in 1976 and shortly after became loyal members of the Moose Lodge. Arliene was a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. She was compassionate and loving in everything she did. She faithfully cared for family and friends through baking, puzzles and playing cards. She displayed a real zest for life by hopping in her motorhome for cross-country travels and going on multiple cruises across the world. Arliene also loved investing in family and friends lives with conversation. She is survived by her; siblings and spouses, Edith and Thomas Walsh (Weymouth, MA), Phylis and George Hughes (Plymouth, MA), William and Kathy Morrill (Plymouth, MA); three sons, Clifton George, Mitchell William and Edward David; daughter-in-laws Alicia, Tania and Joann; seven grandchildren, Dana Marie, Ryan Clifton, Amy Arliene, Taylor Lee, Courtney Mae, Arliene Anna and Katie Ann Marie; four great grandchildren, Glace Marie, Belle Starr, Bently Layne and Levi William. Arliene is welcomed in heaven by her husband, Clifton Dunn; sister, Anne Hilchey and brother-in-law, Gordon Hilchey. Family and friends are welcome to a viewing on Friday, August 21st from 10:00am to 1:30pm at the Chapel of the Roses in Atascadero. A graveside service will follow at 2:00pm at the Atascadero District Cemetery. Pastor Thomas Ferrell will officiate.
