Christine Marta Langford went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, August 24, 2016. She is survived by her husband, Jim, five children and their spouses, 16 grandchildren, and two great-grand children, her beloved twin sister, older brother, and numerous nieces and nephews. These loved ones were her greatest pride and joy. Christine was born into the wealth and privilege of Konigsberg, East Prussia on March 21, 1943, was raised in the poverty of German war- refugee camps, entered her teen years as an immigrant to the United States and married her handsome park ranger and love of her life at the age of nineteen. She spent her twenties and every decade thereafter as a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, obtaining legendary status as "homemaker extraordinaire." She will be most remembered for her sacrificial love for family, her unbounded hospitality to all who entered the wide-open doors of her home, and her faithful service to her precious Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. A celebration of life is planned for Wednesday, August 31st, at 2:30 PM at the home of Allan and Linda Johnson, 3150 San Fernando Rd., Atascadero, CA. "Many women do noble things, but you surpass them all."--Proverbs 31:29
