

Claudine Arlette Fritz, of Paso Robles, CA, passed away at her home at the age of 89, on Monday, August 29, 2015. She was born on June 6, 1926 in La Garenne Colombe, France and attended Jules Verne High School. In 1944 she married Ralph Herbert Fritz and had one daughter, Gisele Marie Fritz. Claudine and Ralph were married for 55 years before he passed away in 2000. Claudine studied Art at the Sorbonne in Paris, and continued her education in Art here in the US. During the 16 years she lived in Santa Barbara with her husband and daughter, Claudine hosted many well known artists of the original California School of Watercolor. She sold her artwork at the Bradley Gallery in Montecito and the Gallery 113 in Santa Barbara, the Pacific Flyway and Copenhagen Gallery in Solvang. Besides being a talented artist, housewife and amazing mother, Claudine enjoyed outdoor sports including: fishing, camping, archery, hunting, scuba diving, and traveling abroad. Her adventures and talents were an inspiration to all who knew her. Claudine is survived by her only Daughter, Gisele Marsh, her Sister in France, Josette Chapplend, nieces and nephews. A Funeral Mass will be held at the Saint Raphael's Church at 5444 Hollister Ave. Goleta, CA on Friday October 9, 2015 at 10:00am. Followed by a "Celebration of Life Picnic" at Goleta Beach Area C at 12-4pm. A Burial Service will be held at The Pine Mountain Cemetery at 1 Cemetery Road Atascadero, CA on Friday October 16, 2015 at 11:00am. Memorial donations may be made in Claudine's name to the U.S. Fish Wildlife Service or The Humane Society.
